I love this book. The application of theory to an actual “live person” (with all the bells, whistles & hurdles) is a fantastic addition to any ACT library. It contains a start-to-finish demonstration of ACT treatment with “in flight processes” pinned down… & the best part is that you can turn the page & go back & it’s still there. You have not just missed the moment….

The tie between different points of the hexaflex, client material and therapist dance was great in slowing things down to really get a sense of how ACT works. It helped me in my learning to discriminate various contingencies & functions at play; in the absence of a real client or taped session. Just fabulous!

ACT Verbatim REALLY useful additional way of getting more grounded in the approach. Seeing the constructs put into action in an ongoing case helps to clarify the concepts and helps to confirm whether one has grasped them accurately.

This book dramatically increased my understanding of how an actual full length ACT session unfolds.
